This private, family-operated foundation was established in 1964 in memory of Alissa’s paternal great-grandparents. The Meyers were well-known in this area as the owners of the Meyer Brothers Depart- ment Stores. The foundation supports local charities in northern New Jersey to organizations throughout the tri-state area. According to Alissa, who took over the operation from her father Philip B.
