To help get the message out about fire safety around homes and in the schools, the Mahwah Fire Department visited Betsy Ross School. A volunteer showed the kindergarten and first grade classes what a firefighter looks like in full gear and reinforced that a firefighter is like a superhero, and not someone to fear. The high- light of the program was when the students had the chance to climb up on the fire truck.
