Angela Burstyn of Rockville, Maryland, formerly of Wyckoff and Mahwah, died Jan. 13. She was 83. She is survived by her son Will Layman of Bethesda, Maryland, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harris Burstyn. Timothy Joseph Driscoll of Hamburg, formerly of Ramsey, Bowie, Maryland, Sarasota, Florida, and Brick, died Jan. 14. He was 82. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and obtained a master’s degree in economics from American University. He worked in the commercial heating, ventilating, and air conditioning field for Worthington Corp., and started D&B Engineering Corporation with his partner and friend James Bucciaglia. They ran their business until their retirement over 30 years later. They were representative manufacturers of the year for the entire country in 1982. He is survived by his wife of Gail Driscoll, his children TJ Driscoll, Cathlyn Driscoll, and Judith Gilbert, five grandchildren, and his siblings Nicholas Driscoll and Dolores Sharp. Guatelli of Salem, North Carolina, formerly of Ramsey, died Jan. 13. He was an employee of Rachel’s News Company for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Redeemer Church in Ramsey and a member of the Hawthorne-Fortitude Lodge #200 F&AM. He is survived by his wife Millie, his stepchildren Karen Healy and Keith Murphy, two granddaughters, and his sister Ruby Vandevander of Ramsey. He was predeceased by his siblings John Guatelli Jr. and Olive Olson. Elizabeth M. “Betty” Kilcoyne, nee Cosgrove, of Allendale died Jan. 16. She was 78. Before retiring, she worked in accounts receivable for Financial Services Inc. in Glen Rock. She was a parishioner of Guardian Angel R.C. Church in Allendale, where she served as a volunteer for many of the parish’s ministries and brought Communion to the sick as an extraordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist. She is survived by her children Moira Kilcoyne, Don Kilcoyne, Stephen Kilcoyne, and Beth Ann Verblaauw, four grandchildren, and her brother David Cosgrove. Lillian C. Kuzbyt, nee Wilcox, of Mahwah, formerly of Midland Park, died Jan. 10. She was 88. Before retiring in 2005, she was the owner of LK Ceramic Studio in Midland Park. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glen Rock. She was a member of the Mahwah Seniors and a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 170 in Rochelle Park. She is survived by her daughters Michele Dunn and Patti Lettich, her daughterin-law Deborah Kuzbyt, and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Kuzbyt, and her son Peter Kuzbyt. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. He attended the College of William and Mary. He was the proprietor of Circle Wines & Liquors for 15 years. He was president and principal of County Trust Company in Garfield. After a brief retirement, he founded NJ Lenders Corp., where he was chairman of the board. He was a parishioner of Saint Gabriel’s R.C. Church in Saddle River. He is survived by his wife Marie (nee Merlo) of Ho-Ho-Kus, his sons John II of Mendham and Donald of Ho-Ho-Kus, four grandchildren, and his siblings Dom Maita and Mary Ann Mitchell. John Marotta of Whiting, formerly of Lodi, and Franklin Lakes, died Jan. 13. He was 63. Before retiring, he was a self-employed truck driver. He is survived by his wife Shelley Marotta (nee Berger) of Whiting, his father John, and his sister Diana Marotta of Franklin Lakes. He was predeceased by his mother Anne, and his sister Meg Marotta. Niclus of Toms River, formerly of Ho-HoKus, died Jan. 15. He was 84. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a supervisor in the Bergen County Shade Tree Department for many years. He was a 29-year member of the American Legion Post 130 of Midland Park, and a life member of the New Jersey and New York Volunteer Fireman’s Association. He is survived by his daughters Mary T. Nicklus O’Sullivan of Kingston, Rhode Island and Dorothy A. Nicklus of Wyckoff, his step-daughter Lori Zajac, four grandchildren, and his brothers John J. Nicklus Jr. and Francis L. Nicklus. Born in Salerno, Italy, he came to the United States 81 years ago. He was the owner of JP Waste in New York City, and a parishioner of the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. He is survived by his wife Antoinette Perazzo (nee Di Mari) of Upper Saddle River, his son Vincent Perazzo, his daughter-in-law Joyce of Mahwah, and two grandchildren. She was a member of the Fair Lawn Art Association, a watercolor painter, and a subscriber to the New York City Ballet. She is survived by her children Paul A. Saporito of Boulder, Colorado, Mark S. Saporito of Seattle, Washington, and James F Saporito of Ridgewood, five grandchildren, and three great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick. Carolyn E. Tynan of Pompton Plains, formerly of Midland Park, died Jan. 8. She was 86. She had worked as a legal secretary for the Hooper and Dunham Law Firm in New York City. She was a member of the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood since the 1930s. She was active in a number of clubs at Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains. She was a member of the Bergen Genealogy Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Brownstone Quilters. She is survived by her husband Howard Tynan, her son James Tynan, her sister-in-law Lynne Kanen, and her grandson Slade Tynan. A memorial service will be held at a future date at the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood. Arrangements were made by M. John Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Plains.
