Don Bosco Prep’s Chapel Concert series will present its third collegiate a cappella concert on Saturday evening, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held at Mary Help of Christians Chapel, Saint John’s Hall and will feature Marist College’s male a cappella group, Time-Check, and their female counterparts The Lovely Sirens. Both groups performed at last year’s event. Time-Check won Don Bosco Prep’s A Cappella SING OFF Competition in 2011. The groups will perform favorite pop and contemporary a cappella arrangements. The Don Bosco Prep Chorus will also be represented, and will join Time-Check for one piece. “We have made collegiate a cappella a tradition,” said Chapel Concerts’ Artistic Director Toni Bilotti Cecere. “Having college-aged singers at Don Bosco Prep provides lots of fun and gives our high school students a collegiatelevel singing experience. The final concert of the 2012-13 Season of Chapel Concerts will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and will showcase the finalists of Don Bosco Prep’s Young Artists’ Scholarship Competition. This competition recognizes the talent and commitment of high school artists across the state and awards $1,000 to the winner. Don Bosco Prep, founded in 1915, is a private, Catholic college preparatory high school for young men. The school is located at 492 North Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey.
