Ray Bleeker of Mahwah died April 7. He was 63. Before retiring, he was president of Millbrook Landscape Corp. for 35 years. He is survived by his wife Joanne (nee Pierson), his children Melissa Leaming of Griswold, Iowa and Christopher Raymond of Mahwah, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Rex and Roy. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Katherine D’Amore of Mahwah died April 7. She was 89. She had worked at D’Amore Jewelers in Cliffside Park. She is survived by her children John D’Amore and Joan Sides, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph. as a Port Authority police officer in New York City in the early 1950s. He was a Knight of Columbus with the Villa Marie Council #6342 in Absecon. He is survived by his wife Florence, his children Michael Doherty, Kathy Doherty-Hewins, Regina Doherty, and Alice Gershuny, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Grochowsky of Mahwah died April 8. He was 78. He retired from Dow Chemical after nearly 40 years in sales. He was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 50 in Mahwah. He was a member of Activities Unlimited. He is survived by his wife Theresa Grochowsky; his children Larry, Lynn, Carol, and Kay; his stepdaughters Pat, Lisa, and Lydia; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He graduated from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He worked as an accountant and had served as a crossing guard in Ridgewood. He was a member of Christ Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, and was a member of the choir of Christ Episcopal Church in Valdosta, Georgia. He is survived by his wife Margie (nee Smith), his siblings Maureen and Michael, 13 nieces and nephews, and 18 grand-nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by McLane Funeral and Cremation Services in Georgia. Edward J. McDonald of Ridgewood, formerly of Bayside, New York, died April 6. He was 73. He served in the United States Army National Guard and Reserves during the Vietnam Conflict. He began his career in information technology at New York University, and worked for over 25 years in the banking industry, retiring as vice president of information technology at The Chase Manhattan Bank. He was a parishioner of Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. He is survived by his wife Ann Roy McDonald, his daughters Alison McDonald and Beth McDonald Maratea, two grandchildren, and his sisters Eleanor Courtney, Eileen Mungavin, and Mary Scarda. He is survived by his wife Ellen, his children Tim and Tara, his mother Agnes,

He was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, and came to Wyckoff with his family in 1938. He attended Midland Park Christian School and Ramsey High School. He was a partner in the Hawthorne Laundry, Inc. for 40 years before his retirement in 1998. After retiring, he worked as a crossing guard in Wyckoff. He was a member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife Mae Arlene (nee Baker), his children Edward J. Pruim, Susan Gjeltema, Douglas G. Pruim, and Wendy S. Nystrom. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sisters Dorothy Carlson and Eleanor Unterstein. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She was a secretary for the first crew of the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear submarine. She was a past president of the Saint Luke’s Church Rosary Society in Ho-Ho-Kus. She had worked in banking for over 25 years. She is survived by her husband John, her children John J. Salerno, Linda J. Hickman, Wendy J. Ross, and Kerry L. Salerno, and four grandchildren. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgewood where she participated in the Braille workshop and the Women’s Guild. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and four grandchildren.
