Vierheilig, M.D. has been working in northern New Jersey since she completed her Infectious Diseases training at Colum- bia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City 17 years ago. Eager to blend her interests in medicine and in world travel, she launched New Jersey Travel Clinic, LLC, an enter- prise that lends medical support to the traveling public. At her office or at corporate headquarters for larger groups, she offers travelers pre- and post-trip medical advice, preventive care, and immunizations according to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations. As one of the area’s few authorized Yellow Fever vaccination centers, the clinic is a popular destination for many world travelers. Jacqueline M. Vierheilig, MD “I am so fortunate to work in a field where I can combine two loves: infectious diseases and travel. My parents gave me the gift of travel at a young age, and I have never looked back,” says Dr. Vierheilig, who has traveled extensively in Latin America, Europe, China, and Australia. The northern New Jersey area is home to people who travel for business, plea- sure, study abroad, volunteer work, and to visit friends and relatives around the globe. New Jersey Travel Clinic is there to help ensure that everyone has a safe and healthy journey. People who are “on the go” are welcome to make an appointment on the clinic’s user-friendly website. After you buy your airline ticket and reserve your hotel room, contact Dr. Vier- heilig to help ensure your travel will be safe.
