Patrolman leaves
(continued from page 5) and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. “I’m sad he is leaving. It leaves the department shorthanded,” commented Councilman Charles Farricker, the police liaison. He said Coletta’s departure and the fact that a Tim Chaney, a new recruit, is still attending the police academy, will likely result in some unanticipated overtime costs over the coming weeks. Chaney will graduate from the academy next month, but with the required local training, “it’ll be a while before he is patrolling on his own,” Farricker said.
