He graduated from Manhattan College with a BSEE. He was employed by Allen B. Dumont Laboratories, which became a division of Fairchild Electronics, as engineering manager of the instrument division. As engineering manager of Philips Broadcast Television Systems, he managed the development of Triax cable camera control technology in the late ‘60s. In 1992, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognized him as a key employee when presenting Philips with an Emmy Award for outstanding scientific and technological engineering development for Triax cable camera technology. He went on to found Telemetrics in 1973 and continued with the development of camera control systems for another 40 years. He is survived by his wife Clara Cuomo, his children Mary Scillieri and Anthony Scillieri, three grandchildren, and his sister Adeline Cefola. He was a graduate of Saint Michael’s High School in Union City. He was employed by the DL&W Railroad and then the Bank of New York (formerly Irving Trust Co.) from which he retired in1988 as an accountant in the trust department. He was a parishioner of Saint Luke’s R.C. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus where he was a member of the Senior Lucans. He was a member Activities Unlimited in Wyckoff and the Knights of Columbus in River Edge. He is survived by his sister Doris A. Ryan and brother-in-law Robert, his sisterin-law Maureen Daley, three nephews, three nieces, and 10 grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was 88. In his early career, he was vice president of operations for Alpha Record Distributors in New York City. More recently he was manager of accounts receivable for Boswell Engineering in South Hackensack. He was a member of the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and had served as chairman of the New York Credit Managers Association. A parishioner of Saint Luke’s R.C. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, he volunteered his time to the Boy Scouts Troop 232 of Saint Luke’s and served Anthony Charles Cuomo as the chairman of the troop’s Fundraising Committee. He is survived by his sons Dominick and Ronald, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Anna (nee Devito). Lotito of Upper Saddle River died March 11. She was 58. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Vincent Lotito, her children Angela Lotito-Best, Vincent Lotito, and James Lotito, one grandchild, her parents George and Arlene Krivy, and her siblings Diana Fontana, George Krivy Jr., Stephen Krivy, and Jimmy Krivy. Jean Carol Parsons, nee Rickle, of Mahwah, formerly of Waldwick and Ramsey, died March 8. She was 84. Before retiring, she was employed by the Borough of Ramsey as deputy court clerk and violations clerk for 16 years. She was a member of the VFW Post 682 Auxiliary, where she was a past president and had served as secretary. She was a member of the Ramapo Reformed Church in Mahwah. She is survived by her children Carol Gustowarow, Nancy Troast, John W. Parsons, and Kenneth Parsons, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one niece. Sarno of Ridgewood died March 8. He was 71. He was born in Jersey City and attended Saint Aloysius Academy, Our Lady of Victories Grammar School, and Saint Peter’s Prep. He received BA and MA degrees from Boston College and Union Theological Seminary. He began his professional career as a member of the Jesuit order. He taught for several years at Xavier High School in New York City. After leaving the Jesuits, he became a hospital administrator at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, and at Memorial Sloane-Kettering in New York City. He received a Ph.D. from New York University in education. Later he received his JD degree from Fordham University. Initially an associate with Dennis J. Cummins Jr., Esq. in Fair Lawn, he went to New York as an associate at Belair, Kline & Evans, then at Quirk & Bakalor, P.C. Finally, he established the law firm of Sarno & De Felice in New York City and Sarno Law Firm in Ridgewood. He volunteered as a moot court judge at Yale College for the last four years. He was the author of eight books, among which was “Prayers for Modern, Urban, Uptight Man,” and was a writing consultant for the television program “Mod Squad.” In progress is an adult adaptation of an original “EPPILAW Taxonomy Learning to Think and Write,” designed in assisting the learning process of the English language. He is survived by his wife Una McGinley Sarno and his daughter Niamh. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Eleanor Ten Kate, nee Van Hook, of Wyckoff, formerly of Midland Park, died March 9. She was 94. She was a member of the Unity Christian Reformed Church in Prospect Park. She is survived by her children Nelva Martin, Joyce Priestner, and Bernard Haven, and her step-daughters Doris Zeeuw and Elaine Dansen. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband John Haven, and her second husband James Ten Kate. Yurman, and her daughter Monica F. Pisacano and son-in-law Peter. She was predeceased by her parents Sylvia and Bill Taback and her sister Marsha Landres.
