The 7:30 p.m. program will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at 55 Wyckoff Avenue in Ramsey. Impomeni, a licensed social worker, has been working with families who have children with special needs since 1998. Her presentation will focus on how parents can access the right resources in order to get the best care for their children. She will cover a variety of topics, including which types of specialists to visit for a variety of diagnoses, what to do with the information collected, how to keep organized, financial resources, parent support, and more. Impomeni currently works at the Center for Child Development at Valley Hospital where she screens for developmental and learning disabilities, and collaborates with a team of specialists while guiding families toward the appropriate services or evaluations. D’Andrea to speak Local artist and teacher Bart D’Andrea will offer a slide presentation on Pierre Auguste Renoir on Wednesday, March 20. This investment research center offers information on over 23,000 stocks and mutual funds. The program allows cardholders to download the user guide, view the online tutorial videos to learn more about the database and how to navigate particular features, and access the most-popular newsletters from mutual funds, stocks, and strategists. Club announces events The winners of the Woman’s Club of Upper Saddle River’s 27th Annual Poetry & Essay contests will gather at the Upper Saddle River Library, 245 Lake Street in Upper Saddle River, on April 3. The contestants will read their entries beginning at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. On April 4, the club will participate in the Lord & Taylor Spring Benefit Bash. Board of education to meet The Upper Saddle River Board of Education will meet on Monday, March 25 at 8 p.m. The meeting will be held in the media center of the Cavallini Middle School located at 392 West Saddle River Road in Upper Saddle River. Easter sharing opportunities Church of the Presentation, located at 271 West Saddle River Road in Upper Saddle River, is seeking volunteers for the Easter season. On Wednesday, March 27, parents and children are invited to help sort and package Easter candy. The group will be working from 4 to 6 p.m. On Holy Thursday, March 28, volunteers will sort, pack, and assemble food at 6 p.m. At 9:30 a.m. on Holy Saturday, March 30, volunteers will deliver food to a soup kitchen. Volunteers are also needed on Easter Sunday, March 31, at 7 a.m. to help serve meals in the soup kitchens. Members of the community are also invited to take a slip or two from the “Sharing Board” located outside the kitchen area at the church. Items requested should be pur- chased and returned to the church on the dates noted on the slips. The ranges are $120,000 to $160,000 for the police chief; $110,000 to $150,000 for the captain; $97,900 to $140,000 for the lieutenant, $97,872 to $112,000 for a sergeant; and $33,000 to $92,332 for a patrolman. Dispatchers’ salaries are listed at $25,000 to $35,000. Section 13 of the proposed ordinance states, “The salaries, educational credits, and longevity payments established herein for the borough employees who are members of the department of public works and the police department are subject to and shall be paid in accordance with the labor contracts for current and prior years between the borough and the respective unions or organizations representing such employees. Such salaries, educational credits, and longevity payments shall be specified by resolution adopted by the borough council when appropriate to implement the labor contracts or, if applicable, an arbitration award. The terms and conditions contained in such contracts or an arbitration award are to be incorporated herein and made a part hereof as though set forth at length and copies shall be filed in the office of the borough clerk and made available to any member of the public who may wish to examine same.” The salary ordinance is available at borough hall.
