Thrift shop features spring inventory The Clothes Line Thrift Shop at Archer United Methodist Church recently changed its inventory over to its spring line. There is a good supply of clothing for women, men, and children, and jewelry. The shop has announced its 45th Annual Attic, Basement & Garage Sale will be held Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Thrift Shop is located in the Archer United Methodist Church at 37 East Allendale Avenue in Allendale. Shop hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, March 9 and March 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. New and gently-used items may be donated during regular shop hours. Easter Egg Hunt set The Allendale Holiday Observers will sponsor its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m. at Crestwood Lake. (Rain date: March 17 at 2 p.m.) Open to children age 12 years of age and under, the event will feature music, prizes for the egg hunters, and a special appearance by Peter Cottontail. This year, there will be a special egg hunt for mothers. Dinner & Wine Pairing benefit set The Allendale-Saddle River Rotary Foundation will host its Third Annual Scholarship Dinner & Wine Pairing on Thursday, May 23. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Indian Trail Club located at 830 Franklin Avenue in Franklin Lakes. The gourmet five-course dinner will be paired with wines from Maratene’s of Waldwick.
