June 19, 2013 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 17 Waldwick Watch Municipal Pool opens The Waldwick Municipal Pool will be open daily beginning June 21 through Labor Day, Sept. 2. The facility includes a main pool, a wading pool, a concession stand, and a swing set for young patrons. The municipal pool, located at Hopper Avenue and West Prospect Street, will be open from noon to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. Swim lessons will be available Monday through Friday beginning June 24. The fee for a two-week session is $30 for one student, with a family maximum of $75. The pool staff is seeking candidates for lifeguard positions. Training will begin June 24. For details, call (201) 652-5177. Scholarship Dance slated The Waldwick High School Scholarship Dance will be held Saturday, June 22 from 8 p.m. to midnight in the high school cafeteria. The benefit, which is open parents, alumni, and guests, will fund two scholarships for the Class of 2014. Held on the evening after the high school’s Graduation Ball, the event will feature entertainment by a DJ and the decorations and activities set up for the students. Attendees are encouraged bring food and Wildcats support Torch Run refreshments. Blood Drive announced The Waldwick American Legion Post 57 will hold a Red Cross Blood Drive at 46 North Franklin Turnpike on Sunday, June 23. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donors may register online and select a time slot. Walk-ins the day of the event will also be accepted. The interior and exterior of Crescent School in Waldwick was filled with kindergarten through fifth grade artwork for the Second Annual Art Fair. Face painting, sand art, tattoos, fresh popcorn, treats, and snow cones were also available for guests.
