This event will be held at the Blue Moon Mexican Cafe, 327 Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff’s Boulder Run Shopping Center. That night, the restaurant will donate 20 percent of all dine in, take out, delivery, catering, and gift-card purchases made between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. To participate, present a Blue Moon Community Night flyer, which is available at BlueMoonMexicanCafe. com. Click on the community tab, then click Community Nights, and scroll down to Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Proceeds from this event will benefit local charities. Seniors to visit playhouse The Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors have planned a July 10 trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse for lunch and the show “Great American Songbook 4.” The show will feature classic music from American artists and a live orchestra. Meetings are held in the Hermitage Education Center at 335 North Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus. Beverages and desserts are served at noon. Touch of England Car Show set Join the New Jersey Triumph Association on June 8 for the Touch of England Vintage British Automobile & Motorcycle Show. The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hermitage Museum at 335 North Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus. Classic automobiles from British manufacturers including Triumph, MG, Austin-Healey, Jaguar, Lotus, Morgan, TVR, Mini, Sunbeam, Rolls-Royce, Bentley will be featured. (Rain date: June 9.) Admission is $6 for spectators. Proceeds will benefit the Hermitage Museum. Rummage Sale announced Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Ho-Ho-Kus will host its annual Rummage Sale on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will feature housewares, home décor, gift items, jewelry, crafts, toys, books, furniture, tools, sporting goods, luggage, electronics, and more. Summer Reading Club set The Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library will begin registration for its Summer Reading Club on June 1 during regular library hours. Ho-Ho-Kus children who are age two and older are invited to join through June 29. This year’s program, “Dig into Reading,” will run from July 1 through Aug. 30. Hermitage highlights medical care The Hermitage Museum in Ho-Ho-Kus is now presenting “The Human Spirit: The Evolution of Medicine and Medical Care, 1807-Present.” This exhibit, which will remain open through Sept. 30, explores the commitment to medical care in Bergen County from 1807 to today. The museum developed the exhibit in collaboration with several local health organizations, including Becton Dickinson, Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, Hackensack University Medical Center, the Henry P. Becton School of Nursing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Valley Health System. Visit the exhibit during the museum’s regular hours of operation, Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Knights to host Golf Outing The Saint Luke’s Knights of Columbus council will hold its annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 10 at the Meadows golf course in Lincoln Park. Tee off time will be 9 a.m. Golfers will play a scramble format. The entry fee of $130 includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, prizes, contests, and much more. Grand Prize of Nanuet is sponsoring the Hole in One Contest. The prize is a 2013 Cadillac. Hole sponsorships are still available. Proceeds from this event benefit the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund. In the past decade, the Saint Luke’s Knights of Columbus has awarded over 40 college scholarships. Police accept Reverse 911 updates Ho-Ho-Kus Police Chief John Wanamaker reminds residents who are not currently on the borough’s Reverse 911 list to call the police desk at (201) 652-1700 to have their contact information added. Anyone with a change of information or a new phone number is invited to call. The borough’s Reverse 911 system allows the municipality to relay important information to residents via telephone. While many residents’ home numbers are listed as part of the Reverse 911 system, citizens also have the option of registering their cell phone numbers so they may receive messages when they are away from home. ‘Treasures from Ho-Ho-Kus’ for sale The Contemporary Cub of Ho-Ho-Kus is offering its “Treasures from Ho-Ho-Kus” cookbook for $20. This edition is a revision of the 1975 “Ho-Ho-Kus Hostesses” cookbook. Proceeds from the sale will benefit various charities. To obtain a copy, call Sandra Alworth at (201) 447-1438.
