Grad Ball tickets on sale The Waldwick High School Graduation Ball Committee will host its Annual Fashion Show on Wednesday, March 13. The event will be held at Seasons, 644 Pascack Road in Washington Township from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The event supports the WHS Grad Ball, which is a safe, drug- and alcohol-free environment following the seniors’ graduation ceremony. Tickets are $50 each and include a fashion show, a prize basket fundraiser, appetizers, a sit-down dinner and dessert, and $10 worth of prize basket tickets. A cash bar will be available. Register for kindergarten Registration for the September 2013 full-day kindergarten program in Waldwick Public Schools will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. at Julia A. Traphagen School and at Crescent School. To be eligible for the September 2013 full-day kindergarten class, children must be five on or before Oct. 1, 2013. Parents or guardians must bring the following to registration: a child’s birth certificate or other proof of age, and two documents to prove residency. Acceptable proofs of residency include utility bills with name and address, and a lease, deed, or tax bill for the residence. Proof of a completed
physical and eye examination after Sept. 1, 2012, and written documentation of the month, day, and year of all required immunizations must also be brought to registration. Students entering Waldwick’s fullday kindergarten will be screened in the spring. Registration forms are available on the district’s website, www.waldwick.k12. nj.us, under each school’s website. Forms may also be picked up at the school’s office during school hours, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Anyone who cannot attend registration should call their school office: Traphagen School, (201) 445-0730 or Crescent School, (201) 445-0690 as early as possible. United Methodist Church to host Valentine’s Day music The Waldwick United Methodist Church located at 25 Franklin Turnpike will hold its Annual Saint Valentine’s Day Musical Program on Saturday, Feb. 16. The program will feature singers, dancers, and special music. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 4 p.m. The show will begin at 4:30 p.m. A free will offering will be taken. Super Bowl Sunday Hoagie Sale set The Waldwick Music Parents Association is holding its annual Super Bowl Sunday Hoagie Sale to benefit the music program at Waldwick High School. The cost is $7, and hoagies will be delivered on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Students from the performing arts programs will be accepting orders for the sandwiches through Feb. 3.
