Worsdale has collaborated with show business legends and performed at major concert halls and cabarets around the world. Classic movies series under way The Waldwick Public Library, located at 19 East Prospect Street in Waldwick, presents screenings of classic films on Thursdays at 2 p.m. The schedule of screenings is as follows: Feb. 21, “I Know Where I’m Going” (1945); Feb. 28, “Brief Encounter” (1945); March 7, “Laura” (1944); March 14, “The Woman in the Window” (1944); March 21, “Footsteps in the Fog” (1955); and March 28, “Rear Window” (1954). Chamber to meet The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Energy Zone Café, located at 136 Hopper Avenue. The group will meet at 8:30 a.m. Book group to discuss Brennert novel The Waldwick Library Book Group will discuss Alan Brennert’s “Moloka’i” on March 14. New members Back in time Nancy Rosin of Franklin Lakes shared her collection of Valentine’s ephemera at a joint meeting of the Waldwick and Midland Park branches of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary, tracing the holiday’s evolution from 1493 through the creations of Esther Howland, acknowledged as the mother of the American Valentine, to today. Rosin displayed scores of samples from her collection of more than 10,000 items, which run the gamut from birth, friendship, love and marriage to mourning, gathered over 40 years. Chamber networking in Medieval Spain The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce will participate in the Inter-Chamber of Commerce event “Business after Hours at the Castle” on Thursday, March 28. This evening of networking will begin at 5:45 p.m. at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst. The show will begin at 7 p.m. Participants will “visit” the 11th century, where they will enjoy a four-course meal served by serfs and wenches, while watching a twohour live show including jousting, sword fighting, falconry, and equestrian dressage, set within a story of bravery and romance.
