February 13, 2013 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 13 Area Several members of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce have organized the Wyckoff Chamber Business Advisory Committee, which will serve as a liaison between the Chamber and the township. Howie Felixbrod, owner of Blue Moon Mexican Café in the Boulder Run Shopping Center, spearheaded the organization of the new group. “We might be able to help a struggling business,” Felixbrod said. “We will be a resource for any existing business that needs help or has questions concerning almost anything from how to better market their business to how to keep better records.” The group held an organizational session late last month, which was attended by Felixbrod, Lee Parker, Joe Giordano, Steve Fultonberg, Andy Winston, Charlie Coleman, and Kathy Scarpelli. As they brainstormed, the group said it would be helpful if businesses had a better understanding of administrative issues businesses face. Last week, the new committee met with several Wyckoff officials to discuss matters pertaining to local businesses. Those in attendance included Mayor Rudy Boonstra, Township Committeeman Kevin Rooney, Township Administrator Bob Shannon, Fire Marshal Fred Depken, Construction Code Official Tom Gensheimer, Township Engineer Mark Di Gennaro, and Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce President Jay Vidockler. Chamber members who attended also included the committee’s charter members and Eugene Luccarelli. The local business people took this opportunity to get the answers to many of their questions about permits and other topics. He added that any Wyckoff business is encouraged to call the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. “Use us as a resource,” he urged. “We all contribute different ideas.” Interested businesses may visit wyckoffchamber. com or call Felixbrod at (201) 848-4088.
