Participants will enjoy stories, humor, and food samples. The cost is $70 and is open to members of the club. Space is limited. New date for Palisades program The Waldwick Public Library’s program, “Unknown Palisades: A Slideshow through Time,” will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. Eric Nelsen of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission will bring the history of the Palisades to life. His presentation will include a slideshow of bathing beaches and other facilities that ran at full-tilt during the earlier part of the 20th century. Auxiliary plans meeting Josalyn King will present “Talk to Your Doctor So He Will Listen” at the May 1 meeting of the Waldwick Branch of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. Members who plan to attend the auxiliary’s June luncheon at Rosario’s in Midland Park are reminded to bring payment of $25. National Day of Prayer announced The community is invited to the 62nd Annual Day of Prayer, which will be observed Thursday, May 2 at the public safety building at 15 East Prospect Street. Waldwick residents will meet at the flagpole from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. to pray for the United States and its national, state, and local leaders.
