Glen Rock Mayor John van Keuren, the borough council, and the Glen Rock Friends of the Library honored the town-wide trophy winners in the All*Readathon at last week’s council meeting. The All*Readathon comprehensively raised $10,100 in sponsor pledges to purchase books for the Glen Rock Library’s Children’s Room. Liad Wolfe, a kindergarten student at Coleman School, won the town-wide trophy for reading 112 books – the most read by a kindergarten student. The Clara E. Julius Vatel, a first grader at Central School, won the town-wide trophy for the most books read by a first grader. He read 246 books. Hayden Bratspies, a second grader at Coleman School, won the award for most books read by a second grader, with a total of 144 books read.
