January 30, 2013 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 5 Ridgewood The Ridgewood Police Department has charged a 62-year-old woman with making a terroristic threat to a physician’s employee. The woman now faces an appearance in Ridgewood Municipal Court. An employee at a doctor’s office at 1200 Ridgewood Avenue reported that, on Jan. 18, the woman had threatened to “get a gun and shoot her” during a verbal altercation. The employee called the police. The woman was arrested on a complaint signed by Ridgewood Municipal Court, charged with uttering a terroristic threat, and released Terroristic threat charges filed by police pending a court appearance. “It’s a matter of how the threat made the person feel,” a police officer explained. Police would not comment on whether or not the 62-year-old woman actually owned firearms. The police also learned that a prescription pad was stolen from an East Ridgewood Avenue physician’s office on Jan. 16. Police withheld comment on whether the same office was involved or whether the two cases were related. J. KOSTER A Ridgewood Police Department patrol officer nabbed a male suspect wanted in connection with a multi-vehicle hit and run accident following a short foot pursuit near the suspect’s home. The individual was allegedly behind the wheel of a Buick Enclave that crashed into a Toyota Sienna minivan parked on Woodland Avenue. Ridgewood patrol units responded to the Woodland Avenue and Crest Road area after receiving multiple 911 calls. After learning from several witnesses that the Buick’s driver had fled the scene on foot, a patrol unit was dispatched to the address of the vehicle’s registered owner. It was there that a patrol officer encountered the suspect, who fled through several back yards before being captured. Following capture, the suspect was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Assisting Ridgewood at the crash scene were units from Bergen County, Glen Rock, and Midland Park police departments. Ambulance transport was provided by members of the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Both vehicles involved in the crash were removed via flatbed tow truck. (Photo courtesy of Boyd A. Loving.)
