The 45-minute class will meet on Mondays, Feb. 4, 11, and 25 and March 4, 11, and 18. The fee for the six sessions is $48. Ridgewood residency not required. TIC TOC offers children’s theater The TIC TOC children’s theater will present “Laura Ingalls Wilder” on Sunday, Jan. 27. The 2 p.m. program will be held at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, 335 North Van Dien Avenue in Ridgewood. ArtsPower will perform its popular musical featuring Wilder and her pioneering family trek across America in search of a place they can call home. Facing obstacles such as scarlet fever and eviction from their land, their spirit and family bonds are tested, but never broken. Tickets are $14 each and may be purchased at the door. TIC TOC (To Introduce Culture to Our Children) is a volunteer non-profit organization established in 1960 that presents fine and performing arts experiences to students in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park, Ho-Ho-Kus, and the Radburn School in Fair Lawn. Bolger Center offers weight loss program The Bolger Fitness Center, a program of the Ridgewood YMCA and YWCA Bergen County, will kick off its next two-month “Be the Winner” program on Jan. 28. The program provides fitness instruction, nutrition strategies, and community support needed for healthy and successful weight-loss. Since “Be the Winner” was launched in 2010, 35 participants have lost a total of 288 pounds. Participants will meet Jan. 28 for weigh-ins and a group session with a registered dietitian. The program features eight 30-minute sessions with a certified personal trainer, 16 60-minute group exercise classes during weeknights, a follow-up group session with the registered dietitian and ongoing health and wellness support via e-mail, and access to over 70 free fitness classes, the strength and conditioning gym, and lap swimming. The winner (determined by largest percentage of body weight lost at the end of the program) receives a healthy gift basket and choice of a threemonth BFC membership, three one-hour personal training sessions, or three one-hour massages. The cost is $399 for BFC members and $499 for nonmembers, which includes BFC membership for the program’s duration. Upgrade to 60-minute personal training sessions for $99. One-on-one nutrition consultations are available for an additional $95 each or two participants can do a group session for $50 each. Author to address genealogical society The Genealogical Society of Bergen County will meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the Ridgewood Public Library, 125 North Maple Avenue in Ridgewood. Pamela Redmond, author of “The Possibility of You,” will discuss the genealogical experience that inspired her to write about the lives of three women during the last century. Programs for children offered The Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department will offer two children’s programs in February. This program is suitable for children age five and up. With castles, kings, and a sorceress, “Dragons and Dreams” is a daring journey to save a kingdom. Club seeks donations for Gigantic Garage Sale The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood will host its Gigantic Garage Sale on Feb. 8, 9, and 10 at the clubhouse located at 215 West Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include jewelry, furniture, clothing, books, collectibles, household items, and many items for children and babies. Donations for the sale will be accepted at the clubhouse Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stewards are there to assist on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Area artist to exhibit Waldwick resident Bob Rizzotti will exhibit his original oil paintings at The Ridgewood Public Library through Jan. 30.
