Brothers Jimmy and Remmy Qosja invite everyone who needs a treat to visit Limoncello Ristorante for a fine lunch or dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. Named for the popular Italian beverage, this still-new eatery is conveniently located at 32 Franklin Turnpike on Waldwick’s “Golden Block.” (Long-time area residents know the location as the former site of Cathay Chinese Restaurant.) Although Limoncello Ristorante will not celebrate its first anniversary until the spring, Jimmy and Remmy have been in the restaurant business for many years. The brothers have been involved in their family’s Livingston-based restaurant, Il Vicolo, for just over 15 years. The brothers chose Waldwick as the home for their new restaurant knowing that people in this area appreciate high quality food and service. Limoncello is family owned and operated, and the staff works overtime to ensure that each customer leaves happy. Diners can look forward to fresh food, good prices, and professional service. Limoncello Ristorante seats 75 to 100 diners, and catering is available both in-house and off-site. Jimmy and Remmy invite anyone who is planning a corporate event, business lunch, private party, Christening, bar or bat mitzvah, or other special occasion to call for details. The lunch menu includes appetizers such as calamari friti, a popular selection, and mozzarella caprese, which includes mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, roasted peppers, and basil. Entrée salads include grilled chicken served with Romaine, tomatoes, onions, olives, gorgonzola cheese, and balsamic dressing. Try the homemade cheese ravioli, which is topped with fresh tomato and basil sauce. Options also include eggplant

rollatini, veal parmigiana, and the “Pollo Danzis,” boneless breast of chicken prepared with pears, dried cranberries, and sherry. The restaurant offers a prix fixe lunch for $10.95 that
includes an appetizer, entrée, and coffee or tea. Dinner selections include a variety of hot and cold appetizers, including oysters, smoked salmon served with artichoke hearts and olives, and the restaurant’s signature Limoncello salad made from baby greens, walnuts, goat cheese, and roasted peppers and served with raspberry dressing. The restaurant’s fine dishes also include “Pollo Limoncello,” an egg-battered chicken breast served with sliced tomatoes, basil, garlic, and Limoncello sauce; “Snapper Livornese,” made with olives, capers, and tomatoes; and coconut shrimp presented with peach cherry sauce. Diners are welcome to try the seafood, which includes signature entrees such as a risotto studded with jumbo shrimp, calamari, clams, and mussels and served in a garlic wine sauce. Another favorite is the pistachio salmon, made with sliced peaches and a cranberry citrus sauce. Options also include gourmet pastas, a well-received beet salad, and a variety of veal and chicken dishes. Vegetables include broccoli rabe, sautéed escarole or spinach, and roasted mushrooms. The dessert menu features everything from crème brulee, tiramisu, banana cake, and warm chocolate soufflé with ice cream to the banana crunch – warm bananas in a phyllo shell presented with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Beverages include soda, mineral water, coffee, espresso, and cappuccino. Diners may also bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner. Limoncello Ristorante is open seven days a week.
