April 24, 2013 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 25 In honor of Arbor Day, R&S Landscaping will give away free saplings at the Ridgewood Whole Foods located at 44 Godwin Avenue in Ridgewood. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, anyone who visits Whole Foods will receive a free redbud sapling to take home in pots provided by the store. “Trees are immensely important for protecting our environment,” said Robert Schucker, president of R&S Landscaping. “They’ll help to keep our air supply fresh, and will provide shade and shelter for local wildlife. For the local homeowner, the tree’s shade and breaking of the wind will help to reduce Company to give away saplings this weekend heating and cooling costs.” Redbuds are ideal for planting is New Jersey because they are native to this area of the country. They are suited for the local climate and should support the ecosystem as they grow. For more than 25 years, R&S Landscaping has offered environmentally responsible, high-end service to residential, public and commercial properties in the areas of design/build, grounds maintenance, irrigation, lighting and plant health care.
