Stone House Nursery opened last month on a four-acre parcel at 765 Wyckoff Avenue, just a half mile from the center of Wyckoff under new ownership. New owners Brian Brisby and Jeff Schulz are looking forward to returning the property to the nursery tradition started more than 100 years ago. The official grand opening is set for Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m., and the public is invited. The new state-of-the art nursery and garden center provides a full breadth of products and services for both the retail and wholesale customer. The planning for Stone House began almost a year ago, and since purchasing

the property in March, the new owners have cleaned up and renovated the site, creating a top-notch community garden center committed to high-quality products at a very competitive price and outstanding customer service. They have assembled a core team that collectively has more than 140 years in the horticulture business, many of them former employees of other local nurseries, all eager to share their experiences and advice. “We want Stone House to be a destination nursery for people looking for unique plants and structures for their yards,” said Brisby. “We stock not only the staples, but we also have a great selection of those distinctive items that can be the ‘centerpiece’ of your landscape design.” The nursery is stocked with the most diverse and high quality flowers, trees and shrubs specifically selected to meet a discriminating clientele. Stone House also offers a wide range of hard goods, including seed, fertilizer, potting soil, stone and tools. In addition, there is a large selection of bulk products such as hardwood mulch, top soil, and stone with local delivery available to retail customers. Landscape professionals find Stone House’s extensive inventory convenient for “one stop shopping,” which
allows work crews to get back on the job quickly. “We live and have roots in the area (Schultz lives in Wyckoff and Brisby is a Ramsey resident). We have raised our families here. We are committed to establishing a great business, being good neighbors and becoming an involved and supportive part of the community. We invite you to stop in to see us, say hello and give us the opportunity to earn your business,” Schulz concluded. The new nursery is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
