At almost 10,000 square feet and three stories high, the new Gallopo Hall of Science building, built at the former Peters Florist location, is a significant addition to the Eastwick College campus in Ramsey. Located near the corner of Lake Street and Main Street, the spacious, modern building -- featuring five medical labs/ classrooms, offices, and a spacious commons area – has officially opened for classes. Named for President Thomas M. Eastwick’s mother, Ann Gallopo Eastwick, the building salutes his Italian heritage. “The college has expanded rapidly to meet our curriculum additions and growing enrollment,” President Eastwick explained. “I think the fact that we’ve had two campus additions in such a short period of time shows that our focused, in-demand training is valued by the community.” With a new business and entrepreneurship degree starting classes in April, and

a mortuary science path of study planned for 2014, campus growth doesn’t show any sign of slowing at Eastwick College. The occupational therapy assistant program at Eastwick College is 18 months in length, and offers extensive hands-on training in a specialized classroom setting. Students are also able to earn externship experience, providing them confidence in the field and improved career opportunities. Since Eastwick began offering the program earlier this year, it has been in high demand. “As the first college in the state to offer an OTA degree program, we expected that there would be strong interest,” Eastwick continued, “and it has exceeded our expectations. In fact, a local community organization immediately expressed interest in the program, filling two-thirds of the available 30 slots for their members, and we predict our second class start in April will
