The results of the anonymous survey will be interpreted by Dr. Paula Rodriguez-Rust, sociologist and diversity educator, who created the instrument. Survey results will be presented in the fall. Parents and guardians may visit the Midland Park School District website to access the School Climate Survey for Parents or access the link at http://www.midlandparkschools.k12.nj.us/Page/2211. The link will be available until June 21. Church plans Vacation Bible School The Midland Park United Methodist Church invites children to Breaking Free! Mega Sports Camp Vacation Bible School from Aug. 5 through 9. The program will be held at the church located at 269 Godwin Avenue. Participants will learn some fast breaking moves in flag football, basketball, soccer, track and field, cheerleading, and golf. Coaches will be on hand to help campers learn how to break free from self-doubt, lying, bad choices, selfishness, and fear. The program will also include crafts, music, fellowship, Bible stories, and more. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. each day. For details, call (201) 445-3787. Holocaust education fundraiser set On Monday, June 24, Blue Moon Mexican Café in Wyckoff’s Boulder Run Shopping Center will sponsor a Community Night fundraiser to benefit the Midland Park High School’s Holocaust Education Program’s study tour. The restaurant will donate 20 percent of every bill presented with a Community Night flyer for lunch, dinner, takeout, and delivery order. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Library board to meet The Midland Park Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the library located at 250 Godwin Avenue in Midland Park. The public is welcome. Concert series to continue The CrossRoads Concert Series sponsored by the Midland Park Church of God will continue June 28 with Seraph. This folk-funk band from New Jersey will present a program that is a blend of ethnic themes and uplifting, encouraging lyrics. Programs for teens available The Midland Park Memorial Library will host a Summer Jam music series in July and August. Teen musicians and singers are invited to perform on Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. in the library’s teen room. On Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20, the library will host a study hall for students preparing for final exams from 6 to 9 p.m. A snack will be served at 7 p.m. Registration is not required. Ambulance corps holds Seadoo contest The Midland Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps will hold its Seadoo GTI 130 and trailer contest on June 22. This fundraiser will be held at the Midland Park Ambulance Corps Headquarters located at 42 Pierce Avenue. The winner will be announced between 3 and 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and only 1,000 will be sold. The winner need not be present on June 22. To purchase tickets, call the corps at (201) 444-3838. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to ensure firstclass medical care will continue to be provided to Midland Park residents.
