On June 27, a 21-year-old Wyckoff woman reported that she had been harassed by telephone by an ex-boyfriend, against whom she had a domestic violence restraining order. A warrant was then issued for the 19-year-old Wyckoff man, charging him with contempt of a domestic restraining order and harassment. He was arrested when he turned himself in at police headquarters and was released on $2,500 bail. Three days later, the same woman reported that the same ex-boyfriend was harassing her again, this time through social media connections. Another warrant was issued and he again turned himself in at police headquarters, where he was processed and released on an additional $1,000 bail. The complaints were then referred to Bergen County Superior Court. Sergeant Daniel Kellogg, Sergeant Brian Zivkovich, Sergeant Michael Ragucci, Patrolman Terrance Murphy and Patrolman Ryan Noon

took part in the investigation. On June 28, Patrolman Kyle Ferreira stopped a vehicle on Sicomac Avenue because both the driver and the front-seat passenger were not wearing seatbelts. The officer reported suspicious actions and a further investigation disclosed that the front-seat passenger, a 22-year-old Pequannock man, was in possession of a large folding straight razor knife. The man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. Both men were charged with failure to wear their seatbelts. The Pequannock man with the knife was released on his own recognizance. On July 1, a Voorhis Avenue resident reported that she had discovered a door to her garage standing open, and found that a man’s 12-speed bicycle had been stolen from the garage. There was no sign of forced entry and the garage appears to have been unlocked. Sergeant Michael DeMaio investigated.
Representative Scott Garrett (second from left) had the honor of celebrating with Alban and Gertrude Albert on their 61st wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Albert are long time residents of Wyckoff (53 years), and now reside at the Christian Healthcare Center.
