She was an administrative assistant for Magnuson Products in Brooklyn, New York, and was a member of the Pompton Reformed Church. She is survived by her nieces Janet Hackbarth and Janet Tropea, her nephew Edward Ruotolo, and eight greatnieces and nephews. Alphonse T. “Springy” Curcio, of Wyckoff and Hoboken, formerly of Saint Petersburg, Florida, died Jan. 14. He was 93. He was a 23-year U.S. Navy veteran with a career that spanned two wars. After retiring from the service, he worked as a longshoreman on the piers of New York City, Hoboken, and Port Newark for 22 years. He was a member of the Elks Club in Lyndhurst. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Curcio of Wyckoff, six grandchildren, four great- Robert L. Birkhahn grandchildren, and his sister-in-law Martha. He was 45. He graduated from Saddle River Day School in 1985, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He was employed as a sales counselor at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus for 15 years. He was a parishioner of Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Hardyston, where he served as a greeter and leader of the Men’s Discovery Group. He was also a member of the Borough of Paramus Rotary. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth S. He is survived by his wife Antoinette Perazzo (nee Di Mari) of Upper Saddle River, his son Vincent Perazzo, his daughter-in-law Joyce of Mahwah, and two grandchildren. She was active in a number of clubs at Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains. She was a member of the Bergen Genealogy Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Brownstone Quilters.
