Bivona also announced the appointment of various staff and professional positions, and the members of various borough boards, committees, and commissions. During the public comment portion of the meeting, Pete Sacco, a long time member of the Recreation Committee who was the group’s chairman last year, expressed his displeasure at not being reappointed to the committee. He is the borough’s head junior football coach and the committee’s liaison to the borough’s travel football team. He cited several accomplishments during the time he was on the committee. He claimed he was not reappointed because he “didn’t see eye to eye” with the mayor, who makes the appointments to the borough’s committees and commissions. “I’d love to continue to help the committee,” Sacco said, adding that he intends to remain the liaison to the junior football program.
