Louis J. Benecchi of Wyckoff died April 5. He was 95. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Before retiring in 1982, he was employed at Sears in Paramus Park. He is survived by his daughter Lou Ann “Dee” Rutnik, grandchildren Tracey Jackson and Paul Rutnik, and two greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Anna May Benecchi. Gabriella Coffey, nee Bartolomei, of Wyckoff, formerly of North Bergen and Brick, died April 7. She was 90. She was born in Rome, Italy and came to the United States after World War II. She had taught exercise classes at her senior retirement community. She is survived by her children Joseph Coffey Jr. of Warwick, New York, Julie Palmeri of Glen Rock, and Larry Coffey of Jackson, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Ramapo High School. For over 30 years, was a financial executive in the store fixture industry. She was dedicated to helping others in need, and volunteered with children, her church, the ill, and animal shelters. She is survived by her children Derek Demeri and Brooke Demeri, her parents Donald and Celia Kreiter, her sister Karen Scholz, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dykstra, nee Kook, of Wyckoff, formerly of North Haledon and Hawthorne, died April 5. She was 96. She had worked as a bus driver for BergenPassaic Transport in Wayne for 13 years, before retiring in 1988. Prior to that, she had worked as a cashier for Wiedas Department Store in Paterson for 10 years. She was a member of the Rea Avenue Reformed Church in Hawthorne and its New Jersey Gilead Circle, and Bible Study International. She volunteered with the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her nephew Wilbur C. Jaasma and his wife Agnes of Dothan, Alabama, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ted Dykstra, and her niece Jeanne White. Arrangements were made by Browning-Forshay Funeral Home in Hawthorne. John Franco of Wyckoff died April 9. He was 58. He had been employed as a cook at Gabriel’s Restaurant in Wayne. He was an honorary member of the Packanack Lake Fire Department in Wayne. He is survived by his daughter Ajah Cook, his parents Nicholas and Filomena Franco, his siblings Michael Franco, Bryan Franco, Phyllis Siewerd, Mary Franco, and Susan Walters. He is also survived by three grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Richards Funeral Home in Riverdale. Carmine A. Gesualdi of Wyckoff died April 8. He was 81. He was born in Avellino, Italy and came to the United States in 1958. Before retiring, he was an accountant for Dart Industries in Paramus. He was a former member of Activities Unlimited. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Gesualdi, and his siblings Guido Gesualdi and Wanda Bove, both of whom reside in Italy. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed for 37 years as a tool and die engineer for Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Co., in Cleveland, Ohio. He engineered parts for the landing gear on Apollo 11, the spaceflight that landed the first astronauts on the moon. In 1984, he moved to Belleair Bluffs, Florida and was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Helen (Mueller), his son Scott, and two grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Isabelle W. Manwiller of Paramus, formerly of Allendale and Midland Park, died April 4. She was 103. She was a graduate of Overbrook High School in Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Normal School, a teacher training institution. She served as a substitute elementary school teacher and was then appointed to a full time position in the Philadelphia Public Schools in the early 1930s. She taught for 30 years, mostly sixth grade. She was a member of Bethany Temple Presbyterian Church in West Philadelphia, where she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school. She had been a member of the Christ United Presbyterian Church in Drexel Hill. She had volunteered at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, giving more than 4,485 hours of her time over 24 years. She was a member of the Friends of the Midland Park Library, the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church, and the United Methodist XYZ group. She is survived by her daughters Grace M. Hay of Mahwah and Isabelle M. Davis of Madison, Connecticut, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Russell S. Manwiller, O.D, and her siblings Margaret and John. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. He was 72. He graduated from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He worked as an accountant and had served as a crossing guard in Ridgewood. He was a member of Christ Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, and was a member of the choir of Christ Episcopal Church in Valdosta, Georgia. He is survived by his wife Margie (nee Smith), his siblings Maureen and Michael, 13 nieces and nephews, and 18 grand-nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by McLane Funeral and Cremation Services in Georgia. Martha Pepper of Wyckoff, formerly of Franklin Lakes, died April 5. She was 100. She was born in Poland. She was the owner and real estate broker of Martha Pepper Real Estate in Franklin Lakes. She was a former member of the Franklin Lakes Methodist Church. She was survived by her son Robert and his wife Jackie of Franklin Lakes, and daughter-in-law Lorelle of Pompton Lakes.
