Incumbents unopposed (continued from page 6) term, having been appointed in 2012 to fill Mayor Bud O’Hagan’s unexpired term on the council. “It is a pleasure to be part of a team that shares the objective of financially responsible, good government,” said Considine. “Just last week the council passed the municipal budget for this fiscal year. It was a process that started back in October of last year when each borough department came to the council and presented its coming year budget line items and capital requests. The council worked with the various departments to find ways to keep municipal taxes low and service levels high. We were successful in achieving those goals in 2012, and I believe we have done that again for this year. Republican leadership on the council and at the mayoralty level has kept Midland Park on a steady, financially secure path. I was happy to contribute to the past success and will continue to do so in the future if reelected,” he said. She was also chairwoman of the Midland Park Board of Adjustment for seven years and is currently a member of the Midland Park Planning Board and the Board of Health. She chairs the council’s personnel committee and serves as liaison to the board of education. Considine is a retired IBM executive, US Navy veteran and a past Grand Knight of the Midland Park Knights of Columbus. He served on the board of recreation for three years and is the secretary of the Midland Park United Republican Club. Since 1994, he has been a Nativity Church Eucharistic Minister.
