Studies have shown that having a buddy enhances the likelihood an individual will succeed in achieving his or her wellness and weight goals -- and Eva Conover is ready to help. Conover is a Certified Health Coach and the owner of Eva’s Fresh, LLC, a healthy lunch delivery business that caters to corporate customers. This month, she will be offering a small group program in Ridgewood. This program will include five to 15 members who will meet weekly for 60 minutes for a six-week period. The program includes e-mail support, take-home materials, and sample products. Conover explained that a health coach is a wellness authority and a supportive mentor who motivates clients to make positive health choices. “As a health coach, I am your personal advocate for living a healthy life,” she added. “I work with my clients to help them create happy, healthy lives in a way that is flexible, fun, and sustainable. By working together, we can discover the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. Making gradual, lifelong changes enables you to reach your current and future health goals.” Why enlist the aid of a health coach? According to Conover, a health coach can help clients become healthier, stronger, more energetic, and even happier. Because no two bodies are alike, a health coach helps find a personalized approach for each client to accomplish his or her health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments. A health coach can also help clients stop yo-yo dieting and maintain a healthy weight. A veteran of the corporate world, Conover understands the culture and obstacles modern workers face. “I decided to become a health coach after seeing the difference a change in lifestyle and eating habits can make versus traditional ‘dieting,’” Conover said. “My own struggle with weight loss and health issues prompted these

I now want to share this experience, knowledge, and passion with others to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.” Conover received her training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and has obtained Continuing Education Units from Purchase College, State University of New York. In addition to leading workshops on nutrition and running small group programs, Conover offers individual health and nutrition coaching.
