Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • September 26, 2012 Ramsey Alexis Victoria Cedeño has earned the title of 2012 National American Miss New Jersey. By earning this title, she has also won the opportunity to represent her home state at the national pageant in Anaheim, California this November. There, she will have the opportunity to win a share of over $500,000 in cash and prizes. Cedeño, 15, is the daughter of Peter and Grace Cedeño of Ramsey. She is an honor roll student at Ramsey High Cedeño to represent NJ at national pageant Alexis Victoria Cedeño School, and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. She was invited to attend the 2012 Lead America National High School Leadership Conference, which took place over the summer. In her free time, Cedeño enjoys participating in community service projects, modeling for charity events, and playing tennis. In addition, she is a member of the RHS Golf Team, and a member of the Ramsey Golf and Country Club Swim Team. The National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating America and encouraging the nation’s future leaders. Each year, these pageants award $1.5 million in cash, scholarships, and prizes to recognize and assist the development of young women. National American Miss is dedicated to developing the success of young women across the nation with a program that is designed to be age-appropriate and family-oriented. Pageants are held in each state for participants who are ages four through 18. There are five different age divisions. The pageant seeks to recognize the accomplishments of the participants while also encouraging them to set goals for the future.
