David C. Ausmus of Ramsey died Sept. 9. He was 72. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was the owner of A&F Tire and Battery in Stony Point, New York. He is survived by his wife Patricia Ausmus (nee Kenney), and his children David B. Ausmus of Dublin, Ohio, Barbara Aragona of Mahwah, and Glenn Ausmus of Bel Air, Maryland. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and his brother Michael Ausmus of Franklin, Kentucky. He was predeceased by his brother Steven Ausmus. Nancy Dowling, nee Barone, of Franklin Lakes, formerly of Garfield, died Sept. 10. She was 56. She was most recently employed as an administrative professional for Lord & Taylor in Wayne. Previously, she was a selfemployed financial analyst for 25 years. She is survived by her husband Bill Jr., her children Emily and Kayla, and her siblings Lorraine Tillett, Camille Barone, John Barone, and Michele Miskovich. She is survived by her children Joan, Lisa, and Mark, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, and her daughter Regina. Viola “Vi” Fournier of Lake Oswego, Oregon, formerly of Ramsey, died April 3. She was 81. She was a 1939 graduate of Bogota High School, and had a long career as a buyer for Huffman Boyle Furniture. She was a member of the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. She is survived by her son Bruce Fournier of Lake Oswego, Oregon, her brothers Tom of Phoenix, Arizona and Jerry of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her parents Anthony and Madeline Romaine, and her siblings Jim, Paul, and Margaret. Norah I. Golad, nee Aitken, of Glen Rock, formerly of Astoria, New York, died Sept. 9. She was 82. Before retiring, she had worked for many years in the publishing industry with Hearst Magazines. Ivan Grossman of Glen Rock died Sept. 13. He was 88. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was the president of an executive management recruiting firm. He was a founding member of the Glen Rock Jewish Center. He is survived by his wife Ruth, his children Leslie Ulak of Livingston and Dale of Saint Helena, California, two grandchildren, and his sister Judith Ritzenburg of Shaker Heights, Ohio. He was a graduate of Teaneck High School and served in the Korean War. He worked for many years as a representative in the manufacturing industry. He is survived by his children John R. Keough III of Ridgewood, Daniel G. Keough of Mendham, and Margaret K. Mansfield of Fairfax, Virginia, seven grandchildren, his former wife Margaret J. Keough of Spring Lake, his sister Martha Koob, and sister-in-law Ruth Keough. He was predeceased by his parents John R. and Martha K. Keough, and his siblings Robert, and Dorothy Bisset. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. James W. MacIsaac of Indian Wells, California, formerly of Mahwah, died Sept. 3. He was 77. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Saint Henry’s School in Bayonne, Saint Peter’s Preparatory School, and Saint Peter’s College. He attended New York Law School and received his LLD in 1962. He became a member of the New Jersey Bar that same year and began his legal career by clerking for United States Senator John Milton. Along with his brother, he established the law firm MacIsaac & MacIsaac. He had been counsel to Marion Higgins, the first woman speaker of the General Assembly in New Jersey, and to New Jersey State Senator Garrett Hagedorn. He served as counsel to the Mahwah Township Committee, the Mahwah Board of Adjustment, the Mahwah Board of Health, and the Mahwah Utility Authority. He held many governmental and public posts, including Republican County Committeeperson, Bergen County Park Commissioner, Bergen County Planning Board member, secretary to the majority in the New Jersey General Assembly, president of the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce, and president of the Northwest Bergen Republican Club. He is survived by his wife Susan, and his children Jim, Molly, and Suann. He is also survived by five
grandchildren, his siblings Peter MacIsaac, Ellen DeMaris, David MacIsaac, and Rosemary Hundt, and 19 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister May MacIsaac. Pauline Salemo, nee Zembriski, of Mahwah died Sept. 6. She was 86. She is survived by her granddaughter Jennifer Janis and grandson-in-law Matthew, and her daughterin-law Linda Salemo. She is also survived by her siblings Stanley and Walter Zembriski, and Rose Arone. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Salemo, her son Joseph, and her siblings Theresa Mihok, and John, Ed, and Frank Zembriski. She is survived by her husband Victor Paul Stickna, her children Gary Stickna of Franklin Lakes, Greg Stickna of Elmwood Park, and Linda Bober of Fair Lawn, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He had been a sales manager at Drake Bakeries in Elmsford, New York. He was a member of the Northwoods Men’s Club at the Rockleigh Golf Course. He was a former parishioner of Saint Joseph’s in Oradell as well as Saint Paul’s in Ramsey. He is survived by his wife Rose (nee Acampora), his children Deborah Birnbaum, Judith Roman, and Lisa Tredy, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sister Theresa Sinocchi. He was predeceased by his first wife Antoinette (nee Granuzzo). Arrangements were made by Volk Leber Funeral Home in Oradell. Winifred L. “Gram” Wastog, nee Haight, of Ramsey died Sept. 7. She was 88. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Lannin and Barbara Marcus, both of Ramsey. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her brother Donald Haight.
