Everyone who attends Mahwah Day is asked to help neighbors in need by donating to the Center for Food Action and to Mahwah Marine Moms. Mahwah Day will begin at noon with a banner and float parade that will step off at Miller Road, continue to East Ramapo, and end at Commodore Perry Field – where a day of fun and games will follow. Gather at the stage at 12:30 for the opening ceremony and a performance by the Mahwah High School Marching Thunderbirds. Then mingle with neighbors and friends and enjoy an array of activities. A caricature artist, face painter, balloon artist, magician, and clowns will entertain the crowd. Activities will include kiddie rides, pony rides, carnival games, pumpkin painting, and a petting zoo. For the more adventurous, there will be an opportunity to ride a mechanical bull, take a hot air balloon ride, or try out the rock climbing wall. The Mahwah Historic Preservation Commission will sponsor two free Historic Walking Tours. Both walks are easy and educational, and will begin at the HPC Booth, (continued on next page)
