After retiring he was a crossing guard for the Midland Park Police Department for 10 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 7086 in Midland Park. He was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park for 64 years. He is survived by his children Rhonda Salge and Philip A.
