On Oct. 12 at 10:35 a.m., Police Officer Jeff Guilfoyle responded to an Interstate Shopping Center business for a female shoplifter. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 47-year-old Maybrook, New York woman was arrested Borough of Ramsey Police Department Report for theft by deception and forgery. On Oct. 13 at 11:49 a.m., Patrolman Mike Parise conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 17 North after observing a vehicle fail to maintain the lane of travel. At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver, a 36-yearold man from Chester, New York was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, a 34-year-old Pomona, New York man, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 12:54 p.m. the same day, Officer Tim Shoemaker responded to a Route 17 business for a report of property damage. At the conclusion of the investigation, a Dumont man, 28, was arrested for two traffic warrants. Support from the schools In support of a district wide initiative, the students and staff in Ramsey schools wore pink and contributed a dollar or more to the Avon Walk team, Chicks in Motion.
