Local bank invests in borough’s DARE program
The Wells Fargo Bank recently went looking for a meaningful community investment, and found it in the Ramsey Police Department’s DARE Program. The bank recently presented the local DARE program with a check for $1,000. Drug Abuse Resistance Education is taught to kids in kindergarten through grade five. An optional police leadership program is then offered to students in grades six through 12. Together, these endeavors offer health, wellness, and leadership lessons to well over 1,000 of Ramsey’s school-aged children annually. The DARE program also promotes a number of community outreach programs. Parent education seminars, drug alliance briefings, visits to Boy Scout and Girl Scout (continued on page 17)
