Fire department hosts Annual Golf Outing The Ramsey Fire Department will sponsor its second annual RFD Golf Invitational on July 21 at Loch Mor Golf Club in the Catskills. The cost is $125 per golfer and will include a full day of golf, meals and beverages, and transportation to and from Ramsey. The event is limited to 120 golfers. Free jazz concert announced The award-winning Ramsey High School Jazz Ensemble will perform a concert on the front lawn of Ramsey High School, 266 East Main Street, on Saturday, June 2 at 6 p.m. The community is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music. There is no cost to attend, but donations to the band and guard are welcome. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the school auditorium. ESL tutor training offered Ramsey residents who are interested in becoming English as a Second Language tutors are invited to the Tutor Training Workshop that will be held at the Westwood Public Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 19, 21, 26, and 28 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. This training prepares tutors to teach adults to speak and read English. All books and supplies are furnished free of charge for those who will be tutoring for Literacy Volunteers of Pascack Valley, which includes the Ramsey Public Library. Registration is limited.
