She is survived by her children Nickolas Andrejcsak and Veronica Granville, and her siblings Kenny Pruestel, Joann Bianchi, and Terry Schuppel. Patricia Burr Brotherton of Mahwah died May 14. She was 80. She was a graduate of Trenton State Teachers College and had been a kindergarten teacher in Mahwah for many years. She was a member of Saint John’s Episcopal Church in Ramsey, and was a member of the Fyke Nature Association and the New Jersey Audubon Society. She is survived by her husband John Brotherton; her daughter and son-in-law Susan Brotherton and Dan Hoffman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Julie Brotherton of Golden, Colorado; her grandchildren Madeleine, Lucia, and Manfred; and her sister and brother-in-law Molly and Herb Gardener of Allendale. Edith Selma Gordon of Timonium, Maryland, formerly of Upper Saddle River and Paramus, died May 16. She was 88. She had been a substitute teacher at Bergen County Vocational School District in Paramus and taught at the School of Business Machines in Hackensack. She was a life member of the Bergen County Players. She is survived by her children Dr. Nancy J. Gordon of Lutherville, Maryland and Matthew J. Gordon of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, her son-in-law Sam Z. Mallin of Hillsdale, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Eli Gordon, and her daughter Ellen M. Gordon. Hutsebaut of Midland Park died May 17. He was 80. Before retiring in 1984, he was a service technician for PSE&G. He was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church where he was an usher and member of the senior adult ministry. He is survived by his wife Joan, his children Kathy Prochaska of Liverpool, New York, David Hutsebaut of Oakland, Sharon Lewitt of Glen Rock, four grandchildren, and his sister Dorothy Knorr of Tucson, Arizona. Vincenzo Ingui of Franklin Lakes, formerly of Palermo, Lorraine Andrejcsak Sicily, Italy and Lodi, died May 14. He was 78. Before retiring in 1996, he was a machine operator at Sunbrite Dye, Inc. in Passaic for 32 years. He was a parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Church in Lodi. He is survived by his wife Rosa (Cangialosi), his children Giuseppe, and Maria Benanti, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his sisterin-law Lina Ingui, and his niece Cristina. She had been employed as a machinist at Curtis Wright and later was a supervisor at Avon Cosmetics. She is survived by her children Brian, Bonnie, and Sheila Klaschka Kubrock, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George. Richard Lee of Franklin Lakes died May 16. He was 62. He was a musician and a member of “Here and Now” band. He is survived by his wife Ann Marie (nee Marano) Lee of Franklin Lakes, his daughter Diana Lee and her husband Christopher Brown of Hoboken, and his sister Nanci Lee Sajban of Georgetown, Delaware. Louis Letsche of Sussex, formerly of Waldwick, died May 11. He was 89. Before retiring in 1988, he had been a draftsman for Langan Engineering in Saddle Brook. He was a former member of the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a member of the American Legion Post 57. He was a member of the VFW Post 1049 in Waldwick, where he served as commander and was a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Waldwick. He is survived by his wife Elaine E. (nee Ritter), his children Susan Hopken and John L. Letsche, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his son Steven J. Letsche. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was a former fire chief for the Masonicus Fire Department in Mahwah. He is survived by his wife Ida Mae (nee Trommel), his children Patricia Bass, Gilbert H. Simpson Jr., Barbara Hubbard, and Gary Simpson, and granddaughter Nicole. He was a member of the Bergen County Police SWAT Team and a member of the Bergen County PBA. He is survived by his wife Joan (nee Lennox), his sons Michael of Toms River and Andrew of Mahwah, his sister Eleanor Dourgarian, and two nephews. He was predeceased by his son William. Hugh E. Wharton Jr. of Wayne, formerly of Wyckoff, died May 13. He was 76. He was an alumnus of Texas A&M University. He was a buyer and national sales manager at Sears Roebuck’s New York offices for 20 years. He worked as a national sales representative at American Cyanamid Corporation, Fibers Division, in Wayne for 14 years, and worked at Sears in retail sales for eight years. He was an ordained deacon in the Baptist church, and was an elder and a trustee. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff. In 1968, he was elected to the Wyckoff Board of Education, where he served for six years including two years as president. He also served on the Bergen County Board of Education. He was a member of the Wyckoff Jaycees and a leader in the Wyckoff YMCA Indian Guides Program. He was a Cubmaster for Boy Scout Cub Pack 309 in Wyckoff. His served as an assistant scoutmaster at a National Jamboree. He also served as Boy Scout Committee member, Roundtable staff member, and district commissioner for the Ramapo Mountains District. He received Woodbadge training and the Commissioner’s Arrowhead Award, and was elected to the Order of the Arrow. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. He was elected to the board of directors of the Manitou Homeowners Association in Wayne. He played on various softball and basketball teams in Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife Joyce (nee Armstrong) Wharton, his children Linda Schall, Paul Wharton, and Wayne Wharton, seven grandchildren, his brother Thomas Wharton, and two nieces.
