Brothers Ian and Shane Curry of Mahwah will be conducting the Third Annual Angels in the Outfield baseball equipment drive, which brings donations of new and gentlyused baseball equipment to needy young athletes in the North Jersey area. The collection will begin May 5 at Mahwah’s Annual Baseball Day Parade held at Commodore Perry Field. “Last year, we brought a whole lot of equipment to the Pershing Field Little League in Jersey City, and the year before that, the Washington Park Little League of Jersey City was our recipient,” said Angels in the Outfield founder Ian Curry. “This year, we are looking to base our donations on need. Some places need bats, while others are in need of other items. In some places, the kids don’t even have balls to take

home and practice with.” Anyone who knows of a league in need may contact the brothers. In addition to the collection table at the Baseball Day Parade, donations may be dropped off at 15 Pierson Court in Mahwah. There is a bin on the porch. To schedule a pick up, contact Ian Curry at (201) 316-5192 or Angels inTheOutifeld2@yahoo.com. Monetary donations are also welcome. The Currys ask that anyone who drops off equipment leave their name so the brothers may send a thank you.
