Foundation holds ‘bouncing’ benefit Ramsey Education Foundation will host Hubbard and Tisdale Night at BounceU, 70 Eisenhower Parkway in Paramus, on Thursday, March 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per child and includes two slices of pizza, beverage, and bouncing. This event will benefit the programs and equipment provided to the public schools by the Ramsey Education Foundation. Spring Boutique and Luncheon set Saint John’s Memorial Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Main Street and Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, will host its annual Spring Boutique and Luncheon on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The boutique will feature handcrafted and one-of-a-kind Easter and spring items, matted photographs, specialty baked items, hand-knitted sweaters for children, vintage linens, jewelry, hand-hooked pieces, table decorations, wreaths, lap quilts, table-top quilts, various quilted personal items, egg trees, hand-dipped Easter chocolates, “Lemon Crunch” candy, felted bunnies and chicks, stained glass items, invogue decorative painted wooden eggs, and children’s craft projects for Easter baskets. Indoor Farmers Market draws to close Ramsey’s first indoor winter Farmers Market, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eric Smith School cafeteria, will draw to a close on Sunday, March 25. Over 20 vendors will offer their fresh produce and products, with a wide variety of seasonal vegetables and fruits, artisanal bread and cheeses, gourmet nuts and olive oils, honey and honey products, spices, gluten-free baked goods, gourmet teas and coffees, and more. Plans are now under way for the third season of the
outdoor market, which will begin June 10 at the Ramsey Main Street train station. The Ramsey Farmers Market is sponsored by the Ramsey Historical Association. Learn about Chinese culture The Traditional Chinese Culture Community Outreach Program will make a presentation at the Ramsey Public Library at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28. Focusing on 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture and civilization, the program will feature storytelling through classical Chinese dance and music, including “Journey to the West,” one of the four classics in Chinese literature, and the “Legend of Mulan,” a revolutionary story for women in Chinese history. Discover the significance of Chinese dances, landscape painting, and music, and take a look into the complexity of viewing Chinese culture inside and outside of China. UNICO hosts ‘That’s Amore Casino Night’ The Greater Ramsey UNICO will host its “That’s Amore Casino Night” March 23at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. This fundraiser will feature the Texas Hold ‘em tournament, a blackjack tournament, games, an auction, a prize basket fundraiser, appetizers, dessert, and beverages. Tickets, which include $25 in chips, are $60.
