The Future Problem Solving Program began in 1974, and for the first time in the history of the program, New Jersey has a Junior Championship Team. The team members who earned this prestigious title are Emily Mayo, Laura Pesanello, Miranda Perez, Sowmya Patapati, and Rachel Lu. The Ramapo Ridge team competed against 58 other qualifying teams from the United Statesand other countries, including Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and China. The topic was pharmaceuticals, which stimulated critical and creative thinking, and encouraged students to develop a vision for the future. The Mahwah School District is extremely proud of these students and their accomplishment.
