Registration is now taking place in the local school districts, and the Northwest Bergen Council for Special Education is interested in locating individuals who may have disabilities who are in need of special education. Any parent or guardian with an infant or toddler who should be crawling, walking, or talking, but is not doing so, may call for information about resources and services for children under age three. Half-day program offered Ramsey Adult School offers “Wrap-around Kindergarten,” a half-day, fee-based program. Held at Hubbard and Tisdale schools, this before or after school enrichment program provides high quality, convenient care to children enrolled in the Ramsey School District. Wrap is held five days a week and follows the Ramsey School District calendar. Registration packets are available at the main offices at Hubbard and Tisdale schools or by visiting www.ramsey.k12.nj.us - forms and resources. Rotary welcomes new members New members are always welcome at the Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club’s weekly meetings on Mondays at 12:15 p.m. Meetings are held at Houlihan’s in Ramsey. The Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club is a member of Rotary International and sponsors activities that benefit both the local community and international public service projects, including a school, clinic, and orphanage in Haiti. The club provides extensive support locally for the Center for Food Action and Habitat for Humanity, and scholarships for local students. Members also participate in Ramsey Day, Upper Saddle River Day, and Mahwah Day, with all proceeds going toward the club’s charitable activities. The Ramsey 11 year olds baseball team recently won the PBI Spring Championship. The boys ended the season with an 8-2 record, and beat the number one seeded Ridgewood team in extra innings by a score of 4-3.
The third and fourth grade Mahwah Recreational Diamondbacks recently won the championship against the Yankees.

The Ramsey Youth Lacrosse Boys Third/Fourth Grade Travel Team completed the spring 2012 season undefeated with a record of 16-0. This is only the second year of the team’s existence.
