She is survived by her daughter Dana and husband Anthony DeLuccia Jr. of Oakland, her grandsons Dane, Devin, and Damen DeLuccia, and her siblings Jeanne Martini of Scottsdale, Arizona, Linda Irizarry of West New York, Marlene Montgomery of Gilbert, Arizona, and Robert Braden of West New York. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia McKnight. Arrangements were made by Hennessey Heights Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hasbrouck Heights. Robert W. Chamberlin of Ridgewood died June 4. He was 76. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1953, earned a bachelor’s degree at Princeton University in 1957, and a master’s of pubic administration at Cornell University in 1963. After a 34-year career, he retired as senior vice president and director of municipal research at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. in 1997. He was named Analyst of the Year in 1993 by the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. He was a member of the West Side Presbyterian Church, serving as deacon, elder, and church treasurer. He served as treasurer of the Ridgewood Public Library Board, and was a member of the Half Century Club of Ridgewood, Hobbyists Unlimited, and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife Betsy S. Chamberlin of Ridgewood, his sons Bruce Chamberlin of Washington, DC and Rick Chamberlin of Cincinnati, Ohio, three grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A memorial service will be held at West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 South Monroe Avenue in Ridgewood, on June 23 at 1 p.m. Joyce M. DeCanio, nee Amelung, of Waldwick, formerly of Bergenfield, died on May 31. She was 68. Before retiring, she was an expediter for Home Depot in Paramus. She is survived by her daughter Lauren and son-in-law Gregory Marco, two grandchildren, and her siblings Elyse Conrad and Robert Amelung. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice DeCanio, and her sister Denise Amelung. Arrangements were made by Riewerts Memorial Home in Bergenfield. Kathleen “Kay” L. Fowler, Ph.D., M.A., FT, G.C.-C., of Ramsey, died May 31. She was 63. She was a professor of gerontology and Women’s Studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey. During her 25-year career at Ramapo, she served four years as its faculty assembly president. She earned a number of awards and honors including the Jack Richardson Memorial Award for Outstanding Service to the College. In 1995 she was a U.S. representative to the Marie Catania Robert W. Chamberlin International Women’s Conference in Beijing. She authored and coauthored articles, chapters, and reviews in the fields of co-operative education, English literature, science fiction, gender studies, and thanatology. She had edited the education journal “Transformations.” She was a member of the Association of Death Educators and Counselors and former managing editor of the journal, “ADEC Forum.” She graduated from Connecticut College in 1970, and earned a master’s in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972. She completed her doctorate in English and American literature from New York University in 1992. She is survived by her husband Robert Dilly, her son Geoffrey Dilly of Santa Barbara, California, and her siblings Elaine Fowler and Charles Fowler. She was predeceased by Mary Grace Fowler-Kuehn, Anne Fowler-Schmidt, Virginia Fowler-Mariotti, George W. Fowler, and Michael Schmidt. Ruth Brita Kiligas, nee Dillenbeck, of Moretown, Vermont, formerly of Wyckoff, died June 4. She was 91. She was a 1938 graduate of Bennett High School in Buffalo, New York and a 1942 graduate of Cornell University, where she was lifelong member of the Tri-Delta Sorority and was selected to attend the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute for Children and Family Development in Michigan. She had been a pre-school education teacher at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood and at Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff. She had been a member of the Ski Club of New Jersey. She is survived by her daughter and son-inlaw, Patricia and Richard Haynes in Moretown, Vermont, grandchildren Patrick M. Haynes of Burlington Vermont and Thomas L. Haynes of Moretown, Vermont, and her sister Esther M. Prudden of Lockport, New York. She was predeceased by her husband DeWitt Castle Kiligas, and her siblings Donald B. Dillenbeck, Harold A. Melissa Suzanne Maloney, nee Murphy, of Kearny, formerly of Glen Rock, died May 31. She was 53. She was a graduate of Glen Rock High School, and attended Montclair State University. She was the owner of a hair salon in Montclair for many years and did charity work for various organizations. She was a lifetime member of Paramus Animal Welfare Society, and of the Red Hat Society Hotsy-Totsy Chapter of Glen Rock. She is survived by her mother Rita Murphy, her brother Michael Murphy, and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Harry Murphy. Georgette Marie Pfund, nee Ruffino, of Ridgewood and Harvey Cedars died June 6. She was 72. She earned her master’s degree with a concentration in literature from Ramapo College. She was a member of Ridgewood Country Club and Hackensack Golf Club, a member of the College Club of Ridgewood, and a former board member of Talbott Perkins Adoption Agency. She is survived by her husband L. Robert Pfund, her children Jerry and Becky of Ho-Ho-Kus, David and Gina of Ridgewood, and Cathy and Amvrosios Ioannidis of HoHo-Kus, five grandchildren, and her sisters Antoinette Hobatuk, Ida Zito, and Mary Domine. She was a Saint Brendan’s grammar and high school graduate. She was the cafeteria manager at Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia from 1964 to 1984. She had been a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack, New York, and the Church of the Holy Eucharist in Southampton. She is survived by her children Jeanne Marie Rodgers of Ridgewood, Billy Rodgers of Bethesda, Maryland, Claire Ann Schwartz of Madisonville, Tennessee, Peter Rodgers of Delray Beach, Florida, and Terri Napolitani of Las Vegas, Nevada, nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
