Chamber hosts Summer Mixer The Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce will hold a Summer Kick-off Martini Mixer, on Monday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Columbia Bank, 303 Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff. Participants are invited to meet other business owners, network, and promote their businesses, have a “Wacky Wyckoff Martini,” and refreshments provided by Blue Moon Café. Sports magnets available Wyckoff Soccer magnets are now available at the recreation office located on Woodland Avenue. The soccer magnets, the latest attraction to Wyckoff’s athletic team of booster programs, are $5 each. Proceeds will benefit the township’s soccer program. Baseball, football, lacrosse, basketball, and softball magnets are also for sale at $5 each. The recreation office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Devon donates diamonds to benefit Devon Fine Jewelry in Wyckoff is offering a special contest to benefit the Care Plus Foundation, the Northern New Jersey organization and its mental heath programs. Devon has donated three pieces of Kwiat diamond jewelry to the contest, and a limited number of tickets will be available. Devon has donated an 18 carat white gold Kwiat Whisper ring valued at $4,950; an 18 carat white gold Kwiat Swing Pendant for $7,500; and 18 carat white gold Kwiat Contorno earrings valued at $7,900. Winners will be announced at the Care Plus Foundation Courage Awards Gala to be held on June 12 at the Venetian in Garfield.
Current Miss America, Laura Kaeppeler, and Care Plus Foundation Courage Award recipient, will model the donated jewelry at the event. Tickets for the contest are available at $100 each now through June 12 at Devon Fine Jewelry, 303 Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff. The Care Plus Courage Awards honor and celebrate those who work on behalf of others who face mental illness and substance abuse. Bergen County Freeholder David L. Singles group plans activities Christian Singles of North Jersey will host a Buffet Dinner and Game Night on Saturday, June 9 at the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church Barn, 530 Sicomac Avenue in Wyckoff. Register for upcoming programs Grace Nursery School, located at 555 Russell Avenue in Wyckoff, is currently registering students for its summer camp and fall nursery school programs. Grace’s “Summer Full of Fun” summer camp offers eight weeks of programming for children. Choose two-, three-, and five-day camps on any weeks. Camp runs June 25 through Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration for the nursery school’s 2012-13 year is under way.
