Ramsey Review
Extended Day Program available The Ramsey Adult School’s Youth and Children’s Programs office is now accepting registrations for the Ramsey Extended Day Program at Dater, Hubbard, and Tisdale schools and for the Smith Study Center. The deadline for registration is Aug. 1 to guarantee a Sept. 6 start date. The Ramsey Extended Day Program is designed to provide caring supervision and enrichment by adult personnel to children in kindergarten through grade five who are enrolled in the Ramsey School District. The before care program operates from 7 a.m. to the opening bell. The aftercare program operates from school dismissal to 6 p.m. on days when Ramsey schools are in session. The RED fee schedule is designed to provide the flexibility to choose from two to five days per week and two pickup times: 4:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. Parents will make the child’s schedule selection at the time of registration. The program will begin Sept. 6. The Smith Study Center is a homework center offered at the Smith School from dismissal bell to 5:30 p.m. Students in grades six through eight are welcome to attend Monday through Thursday. There are no Friday sessions. Supervised by two adults, the program is held in the Smith Media Center so students can utilize computers, printers, and the library to check assignments and facilitate their work. The Smith Study Center is billed on an asused basis, so students may attend as often or as little as necessary. Programs do not operate when Ramsey public schools are closed, including delayed openings and early dismissals. The center is closed on half days. This program will begin Sept. 10.
