The Greater Ramsey Chapter of UNICO National recently held a Christmas Luncheon and afternoon of activities for the benefit of the seniors living at the Woodlands Senior Housing Community in downtown Ramsey. Morano’s Gourmet Market of Ramsey catered the luncheon with plenty left over for each resident to take home for dinner. Entertainment was provided by The Music Man Karaoke, featuring popular music from the ‘40’s through ‘80s, and Italian language and popular sing along Christmas tunes. Each resident was given a ticket for door prizes that included poinsettia plants and ShopRite gift cards. Woodlands residents surprised UNICO volunteers by joyfully singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” to show their appreciation of Ramsey UNICO’s efforts. The Greater Ramsey UNICO Chapter locally conducts fundraisers with proceeds devoted to scholarships, local mental health programs, support for children with disabilities, cancer research, Cooley’s anemia research, senior citizens’ programs, the promotion of Italian stud-
