Sean and Detective Will Ganz (Kevin Phillips) investigate a baffling gangland homicide. As the clues pile up, Sean and Will realize that Colin (Sean Patrick Flanery), one of Sean’s childhood friends, and a security contractor just back from the Middle East, seems to be at the center of the case. The two quickly realize there is something far more sinister going on than either could ever have imagined. Though director William Kaufman incorporates many familiar elements into this cop thriller, he manages to transcend mere cliché and has crafted an exciting picture. Location filming on the ravaged streets of New Orleans gives the movie a gritty tone. Be warned: Many scenes in this strong R-rated feature are graphically violent. Blu-ray special features include a behind-the-scenes making-of featurette and deleted scenes. “The Robert Montgomery Collection” (Warner Archive) pays tribute to a popular leading man of the 1930s and 1940s. Though his light these days doesn’t shine as brightly as that of his M-G-M contemporaries Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy, Montgomery projected a debonair charm and seemed most at home in light comedies, though he turned in a chilling performance as a suspected murderer in “Night Must Fall” (1939). His leading ladies included Greta Garbo, Norma Shearer, Rosalind Russell, Ingrid Bergman, Susan Hayward, and Carole Lombard. This four-disc collection contains eight features including “Shipmates” (as naval hero John Paul Jones), “Faithless” (co-starring Tallulah Bankhead), “Lovers Courageous” (as English family black sheep and world traveler), and “Made on Broadway” (as a slick, fast-talking press agent). Also included are “The Man in Possession,” “But the Flesh Is Weak,” “Live, Love, and Learn,” and “The Earl of Chicago.” There are no extras.

(continued from Restaurant page) is the tale of vacationers whose weekend at a lake house turns into a nightmare when they become victims of a series of shark attacks. When Sara (Sara Paxton) and her pals arrive at her parents’ Louisiana lake house, the party is in full gear. Everyone is having a wild time until Malik (Sinqua Walls) loses his arm in what initially appears to be a water skiing accident. Concerned with getting him to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible, it isn’t until they are far from shore that they realize the lake is teeming with hungry sharks and a small speedboat isn’t about to stop them from getting their next meal. In addition to the sharks, Director David R. Ellis (“Snakes on a Plane”) has thrown in some “Deliverance”-style rednecks and inept law enforcement. The film has its share of “Jaws”-inspired scares, but lacks the polish and genuine fright factor of the Spielberg classic. The plot device is improbable at best and serves only to offer up a number of bloody shark attacks every few minutes to keep viewers from dozing off. The Blu-ray edition contains several featurettes and a digital copy. “Sinners and Saints” (Anchor Bay) is an action thriller that takes place in a post-Katrina New Orleans. As leader of an elite street crimes task force squad, Detective Sean Reilly (Johnny Strong) is trying to cope with the death of his young son and the abandonment of his wife. When a routine warrant service results in an ambush and the vicious murder of his partner, this might be the last straw for Sean. Reassigned by his mentor, Captain Trahan (Tom Berenger),
