She was a professor of fashion design at C.U.N.Y., Queens College Campus for over 30 years. She was a member of the Ramapo Valley Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, a four-time international champion, which performed in Carnegie Hall and Albert Hall in London. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ramsey and Saint Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. She is survived by her son Jeff of Sunrise, Florida, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, and her daughter Carol Kezar. Andrew J. Christopher III of Ramsey died Jan. 2. He was 67. He was a large-equipment operator. He is survived by his wife Betty, his children Crystal, Lori, and Andrew IV, one grandson, his mother Clair, stepchildren Melissa, Jeff, James, Michelle, Salina, and Jody, 15 step-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. He was 84. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an agent for the Department of Treasury E.P.O. Section in Newark for 20 years. He was a life member of the N.R.A, the Passaic Gun Club, VFW Post 7124 in Mahwah, and American Legion Post #347 in Clifton. He was a member of the Federal Employees’ Union in Newark, and a volunteer at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. He is survived by his wife Norma (Schaefer) DeLauro, and his brother Vincenza De Lauro of Clifton. Arrangements were made by Marrocco Memorial Chapel in Clifton. Ruth Aileen Neske, nee Jennings, of Ramsey, formerly of Ridgewood, Kansas, and Florida, died Dec. 26. She was 87. She had been employed by the Borough of Ramsey for 20 years, working in the tax department, police department, and accounts payable. She had worked for Gibling’s Footwear, Ramsey Outdoor Store, and the Ramsey Pharmacy while her children were young. She was a member and served as a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey where she belonged to the Coeur group and the Bible Study group. She was a member and past president of Irene Bush the VFW Post 682 Auxiliary, The Brielle Group, the Borough Alumni Group, and a member of the XYZ Club of Allendale. She volunteered with the Head Start Program of Passaic County in the 1980s. She is survived by her children William F. Neske III of Downsville, New York, Sue Johnson of Ringwood, Jeanne Pennypacker of Glenville, New York, and Terri Cook of Ramsey, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her companion Joe Dunsheath of Allendale, and her brother Lee of Philipsburg, Kansas. Charles Francis Tague of Cambridge, Massachusetts, formerly of Upper Saddle River, died Jan. 1. He was 87. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He received his education at Saint Anne’s Academy and Fordham University. Before retiring, he was a chief financial officer in the real estate business. He is survived by his children Patrick, Charles, Thomas, James, Mary Alicia Haberman, and Beth Anne Giulano, and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Alicia (nee Murtha). Tomiello of Allendale, formerly of Waldwick died Dec. 30. He was 64. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Prior to working as a maintenance supervisor with Wagner Tours Bus Company, he owned and operated Sunlight Transportation, Inc. He was a real estate agent with Weichert Realtors in Ridgewood. He is survived by his wife Rosanne, his children Frank, Robert, Richard, and Melissa, three grandchildren, and his sister Gail Steinmetz. Edward, J. Valentine of Waldwick died Dec. 31. He was 88. He was born and raised in Irvinestown, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. He worked for over 38 years at Pfizer, Inc. as a supervisor/foreman with cross-disciplines in electrical and HVAC specialization in Maywood, and Brooklyn, New York. He was a member and volunteer at Saint Luke’s R.C. Church and School in Ho-Ho-Kus. He was one of the original coaches of the Waldwick Soccer Association (N.B.S.L) and an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 232. He is survived by his children John (Jack), Anne, Edward Jr., Mary Catherine Jasper, and Eileen, three grandchildren, and his siblings Gerald Valentine and Cathie McHugh.
