At the conclusion of the investigation, a 56-year-old Hillsdale woman was arrested for shoplifting. At 2:21 a.m. on Jan. 31, Patrolman Vasili Pieratos conducted a motor vehicle stop after spotting a motorist driving recklessly on Lake Street. At the conclusion of the stop, a 49-year-old Franklin Lakes woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Patrolman Jeff Guilfoyle was dispatched to a Main Street business at 10:36 a.m. on Feb. 1 to check on an erratic driver who was possibly impaired. At the conclusion of the stop, a Ramsey man, 49, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in a school zone. The same man was arrested Feb. 2 at 10:06 a.m., after Patrolman Weber was dispatched to a welfare check at a Ramsey residence. At the conclusion of the investigation, the Ramsey resident was arrested for illegal possession of prescription medication. On Feb. 2 at 4:09 p.m., Patrolman Anthony Fiore was dispatched to a Ramsey Police Department Report Square business for a female shoplifter in custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, a West Milford woman, 70, was arrested for shoplifting. At 2:21 a.m. the same day, Patrolman Casey Hines was patrolling the Interstate Shopping Center when he observed a suspicious occupied vehicle. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 52-year-old Mahwah man was arrested for a Monmouth County Prosecutors Office criminal warrant. A 24-year-old resident of Slate Hill, New York responded to the Ramsey Police Department on Feb. 5 to satisfy a warrant. Patrolman Erik Sanders processed the arrest. On Feb. 7 at 9:39 p.m., Patrolman Hines conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 17 South on a vehicle impeding traffic. A 21year-old West New York man was arrested for a traffic warrant. At 1:44 a.m. on Feb. 10, Patrolman Matt Rork conducted a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Turnpike on a carelessly driven vehicle. A 46-year-old Bergenfield woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Siemens semifinalist Ramsey High School junior Tae Youn Kim was selected as a semifinalist in the Siemens Competition in Math, Science, and Technology. Administered by the College Board, the Siemens Competition is regarded as one of the leading science and mathematics researchbased competitions for high school students.
