Club presents ‘Charlotte’s Web’ The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood will present a March 25 production of “Charlotte’s Web” by Theatreworks USA. The program will be held at The Village School Auditorium, 100 West Prospect Street in Waldwick. This musical production of Joseph Robinette’s play includes incidental music by Jeffrey Lunden, and is based on E.B. White’s classic story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Show times will be 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Advance tickets are $15 for all seats. Join the Toastmasters The members of the Park Toastmasters invite area residents to attend the group’s Feb. 24 meeting, which will be held at 7:15 p.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 55 Wyckoff Avenue in Ramsey. For the past 50 years, this local chapter of Toastmasters International has helped many members from Bergen and Rockland counties develop their communication and leadership skills in an encouraging atmosphere that fosters personal growth. The group meets the second and fourth Friday of every

McParland to perform at dinner Folk singer/guitarist Bob McParland will entertain at the Potluck Dinner/Music Night of the Christian Singles of North Jersey on Saturday, March 3. The event will be held at the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church Barn at 530 Sicomac Avenue in Wyckoff. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a main dish, salad, soup, or appetizer to share (for approximately six people). Desserts, coffee, tea, soda, and snacks will be provided. Thrift Shop holds Winter Sale The Archer United Methodist Thrift Shop will hold its Winter Sale March 1 and 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and March 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Thrift Shop currently has a good selection of winter clothing, household items, books, and toys. Winter clothing, household items, and toys will be discounted. Donations of gently-used clothing and household items may be dropped off during Thrift Shop hours. Oasis collects for Easter Oasis: A Haven for Women and Children is seeking donations for Easter baskets that will be delivered to some
450 needy children. Items needed are Easter candy, empty baskets, basket grass, and small toys, such as bubbles, crayons, sidewalk chalk, and stuffed animals. Donations of complete, wrapped baskets may also be made. Individual items to be assembled into baskets should be donated by March 19. Pre-made baskets may be donated up until March 25. The Easter Bunny will give out the baskets at Oasis during the week of Easter. Contact oasis at volunteer@oasisnj.org for more information or to make arrangements for drop-off. Learn more about SOAR West Bergen’s Asperger’s Related Services has announced that it will again sponsor the SOAR Experience, a summer program for children and teens, ages six through16, with Asperger’s Syndrome and other related disorders. The SOAR Experience, a therapeutic social skills program in a day camp-like environment, will be held at the Center for Children and Youth at One Cherry Lane in Ramsey. The SOAR Counselor in Training Program offers teens and young adults (ages 14 through 24) with Asperger’s vocational training and an opportunity to develop various work and social skills.
